Screening for sexually transmitted diseases and infections
Symptoms of a sexually transmitted infection are broad and vary in severity. Sometimes they progress without any noticeable effect to the patient and remain undetected for a long time. However, skin redness, itching, and inflammation are often seen in the anal or genital area that appear suddenly or worsen over time. In this case, an STD/STI test provides clarity about the pathogen, as well as the information to determine the type of therapy that is needed.
Below we detail the test we carry out at the Profemina Clinic. For us, the quality of the test is more important than speed, which is why we work with a laboratory specialized in the detection of STD/STI diseases. Results take 10 business days to reach us.
You can perform this test in our clinic whether you are a patient or not. In the same way, we offer it to both women and men. If you are not sure if you need it or which of the tests to perform, do not hesitate to contact us. Our gynecologists will advise you and indicate both the appropriate test and, if necessary, the treatment.
