The 3D/4D ultrasound is a unique opportunity to get to know your baby before it is born. You will be able to see its face and observe its gestures and movements closely as it grows inside you. Perhaps you will see it sleeping, stretching, or perhaps playing with the umbilical cord or its feet. Sometimes you can even see how they open their eyes and smile. It is a very emotional and beautiful moment to share with the family.
At Clínica Profemina we use the most advanced technology and equipment to achieve sharp, high-quality images. Like the follow-up ultrasounds performed during pregnancy, 3D / 4D involves sliding a transducer across your abdomen to record images of the baby. While 3D is high resolution still images that allow you to visualize the interior of the uterus in a three-dimensional way (with volume and depth), 4D allows you to capture the baby's movement in real time, as if it were a video. In addition, the angle of the light can be adjusted to achieve even clearer images, which is the 5D.
At the end of the session, we give you the video and the images that we have taken of the baby on a pen drive. Ask us about our digitization service if you are interested in obtaining a shorter version of the video with the most beautiful moments to share with your family or upload it to social networks. We can also add to this video other images you have of the baby or photographs of the pregnancy and/or delivery.

The best time to do it is between weeks 28 and 29+6 when the baby is already formed.
The 3D/4D scan is not for exploratory purposes and is not a substitute for the 2D follow-up ultrasound. Its purpose is only to enjoy seeing the baby. Even so, our doctors will be attentive to any anomaly that they could detect to communicate it to you.
There are many factors that may influence the quality of the images that we can obtain, and most are beyond our control. In any case, we do what we can to get good images and if that is not possible, we make another appointment.
We know that carrying the baby within you for nine months can sometimes be difficult, physically and psychologically. Seeing its face at this time will not only allow you to know him before birth, but will also help you spend this unique and challenging time of your life in a more intimate and connected way with your baby.
